Mudder Training: Day Nine

I went back to my CrossFit box for today’s WOD.  I love the camaraderie and competition there, and would work out there more often if it was a little less expensive.  As it is, I target workouts with skills I need to work on.  Today, it was rope climbs.

We worked on power cleans from the hang position and climbs then did a forearm-burning workout:

5 Rounds

10 Hang Power Cleans

10 Knees to Elbows

1 25′ rope climb

Five rounds of any CrossFit workout is difficult.  This was not so hard from a cardio perspective, but it really challenged my grip strength.  Perfect training for the Mudder and the Metro Dash, which includes quite a bit of climbing.
