Why do different people experience the world in such different ways? Why do some people experience the world as bursting with God’s presence, and others nothing more than noise? What are the ways that we have been shaped to see, or not see, to hear or not to hear, to feel or not to feel? And how does the ever-present God break through our dullness, our numbness, our insensitivity, to make himself known?
