Sometimes it seems like there are too many things to care about, too much injustice, too much inhumanity, all thrown into the political spin cycle and then flung towards us from every imaginable media outlet. The problems seem so intractable, too big for our brains, and too heavy for our hearts. Perhaps we can resonate with the justifications of the lawyer: “But who is my neighbor?”
